Hi everyone, I'm a newbie and this is my first post to this website.

I am considering the purchase of a bushmaster DCM rifle and wanted to get some feedback as to any pros and cons associated with this rifle. The price looks pretty good at $875 (plus a club charge of $30).

I currently have a couple of SA NM M1As but was looking for something with a little less kick. The AR will be "an addition to" instead of " a replacement for" the M1As.

Any comments will be appreciated.

A club I belong to is affiliated the the CMP, so they offer these DCM Bushmasters.  The guys that have them, love them.  FYI - Most of the guys swapped out the triggers right away.

I bought a NM Armalite at Perry last year, so my opinion would be to go with an Armalite.  I didn't have to swap out my trigger.

I don't think you would go wrong with the Bushy.

The rifle you ask about is the same DCM rifle they have always offered, but it has the "DCM" logo on it. The cost is subsidized by Bushie through a DCM affiliated club. I spent $1200 for my Bushie DCM, absoultely LOVE it. Your getting the exact same rifle for $400 less. Yes, you will probably need to swap out the trigger as Bushie's 2-stage trigger usually sucks. I've only seen one that was any good, and even it wasn't as good as my Jewell. Even at that expense, your still $200 ahead of the game. I only wish your rifle was available when I bought mine!
