I just bought this from EE.  I searched and found other threads on how to spot a fake.  This looks real good, feels heavy duty, the know feels nice and have that little bit of slack eveyrone says it should...all in all it feels good.  The thing I'm worried about is the serial number.  I see a lot of M4s's with a W in front of the serial number.  I've seen some M4's have a K in front of the number.  Someone said that not having a letter in from of the serial number doesn't mean it's fake.  What do you guys think?  Guy said he was the second owner and a LEO had it before him.  He had good feeback too.  Like I said, it feels legit, just want to double check.

If that's a fake it's the most impressive one I've ever seen.

Bing the serial number. The fakes only use a couple.

Also, as said above, it looks good.

I vote real.  If you really want to know, leave it on for a month.

Real.  Or, as real as can be verified by calling Aimpoint and not sending it to them.

First the guy I spoke with asked for the last three digits of the serial.  He said mine were not on any of the fake lists they knew of.  Second, he asked me to look at the front of the sight and he asked me what color the glass was.  From reading threads on this forum, I already knew where he was going.  He said it should be red straight on, and then get yellow and then green as you tilt it away.

He said what the color shift represented (NV), and that while the places that create clones could replicate this, they don't because it costs too much.  I was pretty sure it was solid, but it's nice to know I didn't blow that much money.

Thanks to all who answered.

Looks real to me and I've been through the whole nine yards of identifying fake from real aimpoints. However, a while ago when i called aimpoint for the serial check, they weren't able to help me (with verifying the serial). I called the U.S. one and they arent able to provide serials since the database is overseas in europe.
