Well, using the instructions on how to install a free float tube here on ARFCOM, I got down to the point where I needed to remove the suppressor, and figured out it's permanently mounted.  What are my options here?  I guess I could got to a two piece, but I would really prefer not to.  What's involved with getting this off?  Are there any low profile gas blocks I could use that wouldn't require removing the suppressor and I could just dremel off the old FSB?

Sheesh...and I thought this would be easy...

It's a Brake and not a FS.
And yes, it needs to come off to install the float tube.

It could have be pressed on, blind pinned, or welded on.  As some as you tell us which method was uses, will can tell you how to take it off.

Turns out it's both pinned and soldered.  I just decided I'd take the bushy back to stock, use all the custom parts I was using on the bushy, buy a few more and have another rifle.  Got it done this morning.  Thanks for the replies...
