| Hey guys, I need some help. I want to replace my stock front site/gas block with one that I can put a flip down front site on. I have a Surefire M73 forend. Which gas block do you guys recommend to put on and which front site? Do I want an all in one unit like the YHM or mount a stand alone flip down site? I am waiting on the NFA for my M4-1000 so would a standard gas block be good enough or would an adjustable gas block be much better? Thanks for the help |
| You will rpobably want an adjustable gas block (like the Noveske) and longer rail. If you dont mind a lil extra gas then a low profile gas block (like a Larue) and a longer rail with the flip front on the midlength rail (this is how I run mine). Past that get a flip front sight gas block combo. I think the flip front sight gas block combo wastes the added rail space you could have and the front sight will get hot. I had a PRI and if you shot enough the release button could get to hot to push. Last thing you want is a railed gas bock and flip soght on that... way to heavy and complicated for no good reason. Plus most railed gas blocks are non standard height and require special front sights. |
