I have searched through the forums and could not find the answer to this quandry.  Long and short of it, I bought an AR off my buddy who built it, and I wanted to add a set of rails to the forearm.  It is a 16" barrel and I wrongly assumed that all 16's = carbine legenth.  I ordered the wrong set of rails for it, and the place i ordered them from doesent carry mid-legenth rails.  Where can i find a set for around 150$ for a mid legenth non-free float barrel?  Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I would say the best for the money is the Midwest Industries kit.

Yankee Hill Machine makes a two-piece set of railed forearms that snap into place.

You can order them from YHM directly, or look around for various dealers that might carry them (and perhaps find them a bit cheaper).  On YHM's webpage, the part number is YHM-9805.
