Although I was looking to get a Colt originally, I am now looking more at the Bushmasters.

I like the A3 model from www.bushmaster.com/le/weapons/bushmaster_xm15e2s_shorty.htm but...

I like the M4A3 Carbine at www.bushmaster.com/le/weapons/bushmaster_xm15_e2s_m4a2_carbine.htm a bit more because of the 14.5" bbl. I want a semi-auto, but am confused cuz in the 1st paragraph of the M4 page it says "either safe/semi-auto/full-auto or safe/semi-auto/three-shot burst configurations" then further down it says "Mode of Operation: Semi-Auto Only/Full Automatic or Semi Auto/3 Shot Burst"... which says the same for the Shorty A3. Question is... is there a M4A3 semi-auto version available?

Thanks.

G22,
The answer is yes. In LE configuration, they can ship it to you with just the semi-auto function. That should be something that they would gladly do for you.

If you aren't a Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) then you might not want to look for your first AR in the the LE section on Bushmaster's site.
Try here instead.

Actually, being in Canada, he can buy a "pre-ban" configured AR, and even one with a 14.5" barrel withOUT a permanent muzzle extension.

Yep, I am in Canada and they are legal, although in the 'restricted' class. I just need to find a distributor.

My vote is for the M4A3...from Bushmaster.

Anyone know where I can find some close up pics of the above 2, in particular the M4A3? Thx.
