I'm looking for the cheapest solution that won't rattle apart. I'm building up a 10/22 rifle with a Nordic Components AR22 stock. I am going to be shooting some "just for fun" rifle matches with it that have targets anywhere from 5 to 150 yards away. I want the option to have both magnified, and 1X optics on the rifle, and the ability to rapidly switch between them. I already have an old (8 years or so) Eotech sight that I could use for the 1X optic, and then put a magnifier behind it. I am considering the vortex magnifier with the swing mount, unless there is a cheaper option that would work just as good. I have read bad reviews of the mounts sold with the "UAG, UTG, SightMark, etc" mounts and magnifiers. My other option would be to put a traditional rifle scope on the rail for a magnified optic, and then purchase a small reflex sight and mount it on a 45 degree adapter to use for the close-up targets. This option is one that I haven't researched well to even have an idea on prices. I'm hoping you all can point me in the right direction. I suspect the 45 degree angle mount might be the most affordable of the two because a "workable" scope for the rifle can be had fairly cheap (I probably have one lying around) and I would just need to get a very small, reasonably priced reflex sight to mount on the 45 degree offset mount for the close targets. What do you suggest? |

Quoted: Have you seen the Muzz Elite stock? http://www.ebay.com/itm/MUZZELITE-PLUS-BULLPUP-RIFLE-STOCK-Ruger-10-22-10-22-/290697121278?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43aee60dfe#ht_500wt_949 You don't see too many Bullpup guns at the range compared to the AR look, Yes. I didn't want a bullpup rifle. What I do want to know, is which of the two aforementioned combinations would be the most cost-effective way to quickly switch between 1X and magnified optics on this (or any) rifle. |
