Hey guys I am in the market for a upper complete with barrel and bcg. Looking for the best bang for the buck right now. I had found a posting where someone had asked the same question but I have been looking for it for hours and cant find the listing. I think someone said Andro Corp Inustries had the best bang for the buck right now. Can anyone help me find that posting? Or help me find the best quality complete upper for the price right now? I want it in 5.56 flat top in flat dark earth or if its black the company offers it in flat dark earth (just the rail portion).

Thanks in advance,

Best bang for your buck is going to be a PSA premium upper. I wouldn't let the fact that you want FDE drive you to buy a lower quality upper. Magpul makes FDE handguards, you can just snag one of those after the fact.

Your post is a bit contradictory. Looking for best bang, listing a really inexpensive mfg and asking for best quality. Probably best if you narrow your request to what barrel length, what gas tube length, plans for the upper etc. I have a great $600 complete bang for your buck upper and I have a completely different range toy bang for your buck upper that I got for $300.

edit: and with current prices, you really can't go wrong on either end of the spectrum.

What I mean is I had ran into a posting here on ar15 that someone said whats the best deal for uppers right now and someone had mentioned Andro and said they were quality uppers. I cant find that posting anymore to confirm I read it right. So after spending hours looking for that post I decided to re-ask the question. right now whats the best bang for the buck? I was going to go with a SBR until I found out about that $200 dollar tax stamp. so now I am looking for a 16" fat top picatinny rail 5.56 in 1:7 twist in FDE (at least all the railing in FDE barrel does not have to be FDE).

Thanks,

You limit yourself if you are looking for a complete upper with a FDE rail. I'd look for one with the standard hand guards and pick up a rail of your choice. PSA is pretty much out of stock on complete uppers but they'll mark them in stock as they build more. As far as price/quality, PSA is a good choice. Andro is newer to the market or at least less known but my experience is that they are a good group to work with. I have a 7.5" complete upper that I got from then and It's been great. I picked it up for a pistol build/range toy. That's another option if you're looking for a short barreled AR. You can always build a pistol but there are rules around shouldering it these days. I had my shoulder tapped for shouldering a pistol build and that was my one warning at a public range.

I have a couple PSA uppers and they seem pretty decent. BCM makes a great upper. Rails and other do-dads can be added on later,if necessary.

What length barrel & rail do you want?

FDE may be hard to find in an affordable complete upper, your choices will be limited.
