Guys I need some help, I'm looking for a scope for my .308 tactical bolt rifle.  I'm trying to find something to use until I can afford a NightForce.  THis doesn't have to be variable power, 10 or 14 is fine, main purpose is varmint/tresspassers... uh did I say that out loud?/ Hunting.   I'd like something that is reliable, hardy, but doesn't need to stand up to abuse, has range finding recticle, either MOA or Mil-dot.  I've got about 300-400 left after buying 2 new guns, so that's my problem.  Gotta wait a bit till i save up for the nightforce.

SWFA SS 10x42.  $299.  Fixed magnification, mil-dot, bare-bones simple scope, and they're supposed to be tough as nails.  I've got one coming from SWFA in a couple days (hurry up, UPS!), and I'll post up with my impressions.  Based on the myriad positive reviews I've read, though, I think I'm going to be damn happy for the price.

They've also got a 16x and 20x if you need a little more ass to your scope.

Do you know if they have a zero stop?
