UTG has been said to stand for "under the gun" which is also said to be the new brand name for Leapers. In other words, produced in China. There are a couple different versions, one that screws together and one that's a perfect clone of the Daniel Defense M4 rails. Personally, I choose not to support chinese rip-off artists, but they are indeed "very inexpensive" if that's your #1 requirement. As an alternative, you may look into YHM and MI as good American Produced items of better quality for a very fair price. |
