So I'm drunk and want to buy parts for my new build. I'd like it to be on the lighter side.

Here's my plan so far:

Mega forged lower (bought, waiting for delivery)
BCM blem upper (sitting in parts drawer)
Daniel Defense LPK
Daniel Defense 14.5 Midlength lightweight barrel
BCM or Failzero BCG.
Magpul CTR stock (open to suggestions)

I think I want the BCM KMR rail, but I'm also considering a Magpul handguard. The rifle will more than likely be for hard use (carbine classes, considering SHTF). Optic will probably be EOTech and a Mini Scout flashlight. I'm thinking short to midrange engagements.

How does my list look and what would you guys suggest? I'd like it on the lighter side because my girlfriend will be using it and plus it's just more convenient for carry need be.

Looks ok... might suggest looking at the Midwest Ind SS Gen II FFhg.  Price isn't terrible but they are quite light and thin.  Last 3 guns I've built used them (my pistol, brother's rifle, buddy's rifle) and they are all loved in the varying lengths.  Come with their own nut wrenches and the play nice with DI and piston alike.

Have to say though that for 1.5" extra barrel you can change your muzzle device when the mood hits and if you need to change out your rail for some reason.  Once you permanently attach the MD though the ability to change gets much more difficult.  Go handle both and I doubt you'll notice much of a difference for what you gain vs what you lose.
