Hi everybody, I'm new to this stuff!

I was wondering if anybody can help shed some light on this relatively easy question...

I want to mount a CompM4s w/ 3XMag, and was curious how far apart they should be when in the up position? The two pics below (CompM4 w/ 3XMag) explain what I'm talking about: Why would you go closer or further apart when mounting them?

A lot of it is personal preference. I have run them closer and further apart with no measurable difference.

I've tried it up close and further away without much difference. I believe it has to do with the unlimited eye relief. JMO.

Alot of people mount their aimpoint as far forward as they can go due to the better FOV you get. The x3 mounts closer to you because there is an eye relief. Just play around with it and see what works best for you.
