I was recently given an early Armalite AR7 receiver by one of our members. Receiver only. I'd like to restore it with original Armalite parts if possible without having to sell any of my children. I've already scanned the norms,GB,egay,Numrich,Sarco,Northridge etc. But buying piece by piece from those places would cost as much if not more then building a 603 clone. Soooo,,,does anyone have a source who'd be willing to deal???? TIA

I think your best bet is to watch eBay.  Authentic Armalite barrels come up every now and then for about $50 to $80.  You'll also find a stock on eBay if you keep an eye out.  They come and go pretty often on there.

You can also find some aftermarket parts (stocks and barrels too) at www.ar-7.com.  I bought a barrel from them and it was a nice barrel, but the front sight was off to one side a hair.  Better than no barrel at all, plus my Armalite barrel is sewer pipe city on the inside, so I have it as a display barrel, and the one from AR-7.com as the shooter.

Good luck,
John Thomas

Oh my ,,Armeiro,,,you obviously don't know anything about me. Finding original parts IS the whole reason for accepting this gift from my Friend and member.

Believe me, what we may think as a nightmare, is like a Disneyland to M1.  He is way beyond the needle in a haystack. He is that someone else.
