Looking for a rail, haven't been around many.  Want a FF tube.  I like the round design so the Troy alpa seems good to me.  One model has the flip up sight in the rail, what do you think of that option and will it work with a magpul rear sight?  Any other rails I should look at in that design and weight class?  The rail will have a surefire720, some laser like a dbal, and a small vertical grip I use as a finger stop.  Cost isn't the problem, I want to buy once cry once.

The Alpha with integrated sight isn't economical, the nonsight one is 60 dollars less, and a MBUS front sight costs like 35 dollars. I have an Alpha and love it.

Alpha is a good choice. If cost is not a barrier, get one of these:

NSR, Geissele, KAC, Fortis, or Samson (Rainier Arms). Those are the rails I currently rank over the Troy Alpha. Whatever you decide on, I think it was a good idea to choose a tube-type setup.

Any of the above would be great, but nothing wrong with the Troy either.  I would skip the model with the built in troy sight, not really all that cost effective.  My vote would be the NSR.  I've handled all of the ones mentioned in this thread and the NSR seems to be the lightest and smallest profile of them all.

Holy railed hand guards batman!

Thanks for the tips guys, those look even better.  I don't know anything about those choices, anyone else like to weigh in.

I used an 11" Troy Alpha on my last 14.5" BCM build. I have a Fortis Rev and 16" BCM midlength inbound this week for a new build. I will compare them both when they are in hand.

I am already impressed that the Fortis is longer than the Troy and weighs less. The Alpha is pretty light to me.

Check out the APEX also. Since trying the first one, I've switched out almost every rifle I own to one. They're my favorite, hands down.
