have used both the rockriver 2stage and dpms single. no difference in quality, as long as it meets or exceeds mil-spec.

Yep, sorry...going with the magpul folding for irons...Optics will be the very last thing I do and thus the very last thing I think about....

Day:  You have an excellent bill of materials, you won't regret being picky.  The only thing I suggest you change is the upper receiver.  IMO, you need a high quality receiver to mate with that expensive Noveske barrel.   You want that precise fit between the barrel and the receiver, cheap receivers are not always very precise dimensionally.  Ask me how I know.  For about $40 more you can get a top notch brand by Mega, Noveske, etc.  Check Rainier Arms for a good selection.  Their house brand forged upper receiver is available @ $120/each and as good as it gets. - CW

I see you went with the Mega. Good choice, I love my Mega, fit and finish is awesome.

Next question...should i go with a noveske upper since im putting on a noveske barrel or a mega upper?

You can't go wrong either way. What do you want to match: barrel and upper or upper and lower?  If it were me, I would go with Mega upper.

I will be buying a Mega Upper...which one A3 or M4?

D:  One more suggestion - Instead of a YHM FF handguard, check out the new SS gen 2 model from Midwest Industries.  Its thinner, lighter and very well made. - CW

That looks pretty sick.  I will have to do a little more research now on those.

Thanks!

I believe you mean A3 upper with M4 feedramps.

My bad...the noveske is a N4 so I assume i just need the upper to have m4 feed ramps...that was stupid.

Mega Upper

thats what I will get once able to

Any input on matching a

Rainier Upper to a Mega Lower?  or should I just wait for a Mega to return in stock somewhere?

All I see is the A3...I believe w/ my barrel it would be best to have the m4 ramps right?

Anyone recommend a different upper/lower combo which would compliment the Noveske barrel so I dont have to wait for the Mega forged upper to come back in stock?

Nevermind...I accidentally came across a new forged upper....now which handguard?

That depends on if you want it free-floated or not, your budget, and if you plan to attach stuff.

I ended up going for the Midwest Industries Gen2 SS 12".  Old lady wouldn't let me spend the extra for a DD.  But I believe I will be very happy with it.
