So I was in the gun store earlier today paying for my safe, and happened across a TA33-8 with an amber chevron recticle, what are your opinions on this scope? I do most of my shooting at about 150 yards and as close as 25-50. It was priced at 799.00.

IMHO sub 200 it's REALLY hard to beat the 3x ACOG's.

You'll hear plenty of people saying 200 is easy with IRON sights. I'll concur on man size targets. If you are shooting for accurate hits and not accurate kills at sub 200 the ACOG is best.

I have a TA33GH and I really like it from 25 to 200. I havent used a chevron through but I imagine it to be just fine at those ranges.

The TA33 is as nice line of optics and should serve you well, as long as you aren't expecting super precision at long distances.  It is just a 3X.  I liked my TA33G-H.  I only got rid of it to go with more magnification.  As for the price, shop around, but be sure to buy from a reputable dealer.

The TA33 is one of my favorite AR15 platform scope.  They are compact, have a lot of eye-relief, and lightweight. I personally prefer the RED or GREEN illumination.  As for the reticle pattern the Horseshoe is nice but I prefer the Chevron. We have them in stock.

With iron sights I can put just about every shot within a 6" target at about 125 yards, I am looking to pick up the acog in order to reduce the groups to maybe say 2" max. Is this possible? What kind of groups do you shoot with yours? How about cqb?I know its no eotech or aimpoint but how would it do if you were forced to use it at that distance with the BAC? Thanks for the help fellas.
