Hello-

I am getting closer to my AR purchase and am kinda on the fence about whether to get DI or piston. I have read the "Piston vs DI"  threads so there is no reason to go into that again.  I am weighing those points on my own.  So here is my question...what would you choose:

Stag Model 5 (this is the DI model I like)
Leitner-Wise CP SOC (this is the piston rifle i like)

What would you do?

PS I am sure I want 6.8, I have decided it is what is best for me, so i dont want to get into a caliber debate LOL!

Get a standard DI upper.  It will probably work for at least 3000 rounds without a cleaning or lubing before it stops working.

And if I lube it but don't clean it should keep working well beyond that right?  I will certainly clean it, but the idea of not having to appeals to me.

I love my DI uppers and they've never failed me.  But if you've got the coin, I'd go for a GP upper.
