I am in search for options in mounting an Aimpoint T1 on a Fixed Carry Handle A2 SBR upper.  It will be my 11 year old daughter training gun. My daughter is extremely excited with her first gun.  This is an 11.5" A2 SBR, however, she has asked if it was possible to install a red dot like the Aimpoint T1 on it.   Aside from mounting it directly on top of the carrying handle, what other choices may I have?  Even though that would be the obvious option, it seems to high for my daughter.  I have searched online with no luck.  I have also called several vendors to include Larue Tactical.  I still have not found any viable option.  Recently, I saw the TNVC Muti Use Rail and Light Mount.  Even though I don't need to mount a light on this SBR and as big as the mount looks, it seems to be an option. I have been looking for a mount similar to the TNVC that could be attached to a railling system and not the carrying handle.  I am looking for experiences, suggestions and/or opinions about the TNVC mount  or any other possible mount available.  Any sugestions will be greatly appreciated.

Might not be pretty, but the old gooseneck mounts worked fine for years. The one I used run took the military aimpoint mount. I think arms made a railed version, maybe?

Sorry not railed, er, had the stanag knotches? I'll have to think of it and edit this later.

Well if it was me I'd pickup a LaRue railed handguard and mount the scope like a scout scope.  That would work fine.  Otherwise I'd just get a rail for the A2 and use the low-T-1 mount.

Bennie Cooley Co-Witnessing Adjustable Mount (BC-CAM) is a two-piece design that will allow the user to custom fit the height of the red dot optic as it relates to their iron sights for the M16/AR15 rifles

Yep ARMS #39A, good product but Aimpiont's is lighter and cheaper.

Try a 3 rail adapter that mounts on top of the carry handle.  Then you could mount the aimpoint on one of the side rails to keep the height down.   Weaver has some at Midway for around 15-35 bucks.

I'd spend the money and get a flat top reciever.
Your daughter will appreciate the better balance (and lighter weight) than a gooseneck mount would give her.
