I need help choosing the optimal buffer system.  I'm using a 14.5" mid length barrel, red x light weight bcg and an adjustable gas block.  I'd like to use a light buffer.  What spring will I need?  And any recommendation on a specific buffer and manufacturer?
Thanks!

sounds like you're doing what 3-gunners do. So I'd say stick with that line of thinking and get a A2 RE or A5 if you want a collapsable stock. and JP silent capture spring. Vltor also makes a A5H0 or A5H1 buffer which are LW compared to the standard rifle buffer.

I'm using an ACE ar-UL fixed stock.  It came with a 5.8 oz buffer.  Would I be able to swap for a lighter buffer without changing the spring?    Also, the buffer that it came with is a couple inches  longer than most I've seen.
