I have a carbine buffer when i shake it should it have something slideing in it makeing noise or should i hear nothing thanks for the help

it's the weights inside. normal!

EDITED:
Nothing should be sliding.  If you left out the buffer spring then you would hear sliding, which would be bad.
Most AR's make all kinds of noise when you shake 'em (sling swivels, collapsible butt stocks, buffers....lots of moving parts)

Yes.
With the buffer in your hand you should feel the steel slugs moving back and forth as you shake it.
Probably about 1/4" of movement.

Exception would be the Spikes type (DD, PSA).
They use tungsten powder and would have a different feel.

Now I understand.  
He was talking abou the buffer, singly; by itself, out of the weapon.
I thought he meant the buffer when installed in the tube.

No.
It's a commodity part.
Just make sure you know what weight you need.

If you don't know, get a CAR (standard) buffer.
