I have a rock river arms 6 position buffer tube and an older colt CAR stock but I cant seem to get them to fit together. Is there something I need to do to get them to fit together? And if not, is there any special stock I should get to go on the tube? Thanks...

Buy a new RRA receiver extension to go with the RRA butt stock.

I have the RRA receiver extention, but a colt stock.

There are two different size extensions and stock floating around. Do you mean you can't get them together dimensionally or that you don't know how to get the stock onto the extension?

Dimensionally they do not fit together. The receiver extention is larget in diameter than the inside of the buttstock.

They're not going to fit without major surgery. You can either get a MIL-Spec Colt tube for your Colt plastic, or you can get an aftermarket buttstock for your 6-position tube. I'd recommend the Cav Arms M4 style stock, less than $40.

Thanks, I just purchased a new complete set for it though, tube, stock and all...
