Hi all. Need some help with higher math!
My scope adjustments call for the following: 4 clicks = 1 minute of angle at 100 yards. I'm shooting at 25 yards. Need to move my POI UP 1/2 inch and LEFT 1/2 inch. At 25 yards, how many clicks should I adjust my sight? Wife and I both college gradiates and tried to figure this one out......ugh! But we're still married! Anyone out there have the answer? Thanks Mike |

The easy way to remember is that for your scope: 1 click will move the POI 1/4" @ 100 yds (not absolute exactly but go with it). So to move it 1/2" at 100yds, it would take 2 clicks. @ 50 yards - you are 1/2 the distance, so it take double the clicks to move the POI the same amount. Ergo, at 50 yds - to move the POI 1/2" - it would take double the amount of 100yds or 4 clicks. @25 yds - you are 1/4 the distance - so it would take 4 times the number of clicks to move it the same amount. So, at 25 yds, to move the POI 1/2" - you would need 4x the amount you would at 100 yds or 8 clicks. The reverse of that is true also. If you move out to 200 yds - you would need HALF the clicks you would at 100 yds. or to move the POI 1/2" @ 200 yds - you would need 1 click. And so on..... |
