[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Help with mark on upper

I was looking at an upper today and I noticed a little raised mark on the rear right just above the case deflector that looks like either a stylized hourglass or a padlock, Can anyone tell me the meaning of this mark?.

That means that your upper came from Cerro forge, they supply a bunch of manufacturers. I have a Stag and Bushmaster uppers from Cerro.
