I have a POF upper mated to my Bushy lower. It has about 500 rounds through it and works quite well until recently when I noticed a frequent "stove pipe malfunction" that occurs about once every 50-75 rounds....Always the same with the bolt closing on an empty round failing to get out of the chamber in time..the rifle has already loaded a fresh round in the chamber. Sounds like a failure to extract to me.
I called POF and spoke with Chris and he suggested that I change ammo but it does it with both the Wolf stuff ( POF uses wolf in testing- it is supposed to work in this rifle) and some S@B brass case stuff I have ( from a new case)....am I missing something here?...What do you guys think?

I don't know too much about POF guns, I'm an LWRC guy, myself.  But, it seems as though you might have a weak extractor spring if the problem is a failure to extract.  Although, I would think, if this was the case, you would be experiencing this type of failure more often.

But, you could try replacing the extractor spring or adding a Crane O-Ring around the spring.

Or, you could sell the POF and buy and LWRC.
