| I was givin a slidefire for my AR. However my brother inlaw lost the installation guide. He said there is a spring or two that are a pain. Can anyone ellaborate. Btw it's a rock river lower with a cmmg 16" barrel upper if that makes a differance |

I googled "slidefire installation" and guess what I found?
Slidefire Instructions |

dont think it uses any springs, the springs he may be referring too is the selector switch detent/spring under the grip
btw i heard the slidefire works great on carbines, i have a spikes middy i was thinking about getting one for but then i heard it doesnt work as well as on a carbine due to the gas pressure differences what are you affixing it too a carbine or midlength ? |

Carbine or Middy gas system does not matter as the slide fire stock is just a way of bump firing the weapon. Does your spikes middy go bang every time you pull the trigger? If so then the slidefire stock will work as that's all it does: help you bump fire the trigger. |

It seems like a dream attachment. Add to an AR, go full auto without paying a 5-figure sum. Does it work as advertised?
I hope they make one for AKs next, because that'd be a fun way to burn through some cheap Wolf ammo. ETA: I just checked the Slide Fire website, and they are developing an AK version, plus others. A full-auto Tommy gun would be badass. |
| They work as advertised. I have one on a 9mm AR and it is a lead hose. Stupid simple to use. Mag dumps and bursts are so easy a caveman could do it. At least on the 9mm it is pretty darn accurate also. I expected to have a hard time staying on target but at 25 yards I can easily keep all the rounds from multiple mag dumps on a silhouette without trying hard. |

Will this thing work w/ a 22 conversion? I have not heard of anyone being successful at doing that. You need a certain amount of recoil to get the bump fire effect going and it doesn't seem like a .22 has enough. If you try it, please post back how it worked (or didn't). |
