My question is for anyone here who may be able to help me develop loads.

Long time lurker first time poster.

I have been a handloader for over 25 years. I am currently Distinguished in pistol & want to go for Double Distinguished.

I shot my first Hi Power match last summer & had a blast doing it. I used a M1-A 308 and discovered the recovery time was a bit more than the vast majority of the others shooting AR's. I have never owned an AR but am quite familiar with them. I have arranged a loaner AR until I can afford to have one built, and will have the use of one for this year. The problem is I will get it the evening before the match (May 1)and will have no load developement time.

I do load for a 223 contender and a 223AI in a converted to rifle xp-100 27" bbl. The 223's I now have loaded, are Molyed 52 gr Speer's and I know that while they might work for offhand 200 yd shooting, they will not cut the mustard for 300yd's and are out of reality for 600yds.

I will be using Lake City 75 brass, 69 Sierras for 200 & 300 and Hornady 75 gr A-Max's for 600 yds, Rem 7 1/2 or Fed 205M primers, on hand powders are H-322, Varget, AA2200, 4064, WC852 (slow lot), some BL C-2. Any proven loads for 200/300 and 600 with any of these combinations? I would prefer to utilize on hand powders but am open to suggestions.

I need to load these to under magazine length, so I pretty much need OAL, powder suggestions, any actual chronograph results (so I can calculate amount of drop and wind deflection).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Stork,

This is the loaded, commercially available Ammo forum.  You'll want to repost this in the Reloading forum (on the General tab), or perhaps in the Competition forum.
