A few Weeks ago I got a chance to get $100 dollars off any firearm at a local gunshop through my local board.  I ended up purchasing a HI Standard M4 Carbine for my wife.  She just too small for my full size Bushmaster.  Just wanted to get some feed back on opinions on the gun  Did not know they were even malling ARs.  And also did not know they hadd colapsed and resurected.  Bought it because of price and reputation of their .22 pistol.  Fit is good upper and lower actually a little tighter than my Bushmaster.  Finnish on the bolt is not as slick but seems to be a good shooter.  So whats the Verdict out there?  Are these pretty good or just average?

The current High Standard is just a name that was bought and has nothing to do with the old High Standard.  Their AR's are just your typicle run of the mill ARs.  Nothing special.  For shooting at the range it should serve your wife just fine.

Never heard of them.  There are way to many brands on the market today.  Hight Standard, Black Rain, Palmetto State Armory.  New AR brands are popping up like weeds.

The more the better.  Nothing wrong with to many brands.

The present High Standard is located here in the Houston area. They bought the name of the old Connecticut company that was well known for their .22 pistols. That company also made replacement barrels for 1903 Springfields during WW2.

They have been out for a few years now.
The few I looked at seemed nice.
