I am looking at a CAR kit from J&T or Model 1 sales. This will mostly be for coyote hunting so I plan on mounting a scope, I would also like something that I can use open sights on or mount an EOTech.
What is the main advantage of the hi-rise upper? Can a hi-rise upper be used with a rear sight or EOTech? I am looking at the J&T CAR kit with NM free float HG, DS-4 buttstock, HBAR barrel, or may go with the 20" Bull barrel kit. Wanted something a little lighter, a lot of walking here in Montana. |

Rings cost pretty much the same no matter what height sooo go with a regular flat top upper, better quality (forged from most makers) rails are in spec and if you every want to change the configuration you are not stuck .
The lift kit uppers do not work well with BUIS and Eotech sights |
