A quick use of the search feature yeilded no results, so I'll start a new thread on this. Have any of the forum members tried the High Standard AR-15s? Good, bad, indifferent? Yes, I probably should have asked this before starting the lay-away on mine a month ago... I'm getting the 20" flattop rifle.

All I've heard is that they are a newer company and that their rifles are of good quality.
They're American made and entering into an AR rich marketplace.
They've gotten good reviews, so you should be satisfied,

Cool. Thanks for the info. The reviews I've seen in the online gun mags have been positive, but let's face it: most gun mags would give High-Points & Ravens good reviews if it would keep the loot coming from the manufactuers...

Dennys is/was selling some of their rifles. They like them alot more than any Olympic rifle. I got to mess with it and thought it was on the same level as any regular DPMS, Bushmaster. High Standard is new to ARs, but has been making firearms for close to 100 years(I think......about).

I've built two guns from HS lowers and had no problems. Excellent fit and finish.

I talked to the owner ages ago. From what he said they sounded fine, for whatever that's worth.

I have heard Gander Mountain has some, including some post bans, but I have not seen one yet.
