I have a preban Colt 6551 that is all stock. No rails or anything on it. What is the cheapest way of mounting a light on it? I saw the BMAS triple mount and it looks like maybe the easiest. I have a streamlight TL-2 already. Is this light suitable for mounting? Where would I have to mount it so it could be activated easily. One thing that concerns me with this light is the button is recessed and might be hard the hit when holding the rifle. Any thoughts on a setup?   Terry

The YH/BM triple mount, YH/BM Fr. sight housing mount or GG&G handguard mount are three simple solutions.  However, with the TL-2 I think the fr. sight housing mount or h.guard mount would work well because it keeps the light close enough to activate.  You will have to use a scope ring and a homemade shim to secure the TL-2 as it's not a 1" body.
