I've had a Varmint EOP on order for about three weeks now, and was told that it would take about 6-weeks total to get it. Then I read on here that some people have been waiting three months for their rifle! I thought there might be a dealer here that could shed some light on the how long the wait has been lately.

16 weeks and 2 days for me!  It is worth the wait though!

I ordered an upper from RRA the first week of May.  I contacted RRA the end of June and the woman I spoke with said it would be the end of July to first of August before it gets shipped to me.  Apparently they’ve been backlogged due to a shortage in barrels.  Based on past experience with RRA it will be worth the wait.

I was told the same thing.

Took me almost 6 months or better to get my Tactical Entry. Part of that was a result of a custom marking request.

It is absolutely worth the wait.

I am not sure on complete rifles but lower halves are 4 to 6 months. Complete rifles should be less.

I ordered a RRA NM A2 on May 24.  I received it in my hands on July 2.  That includes the Memorial Day holiday, shipping from RRA to the location I ordered it from, then shipping it to a local FFL, them calling me to pick it up, taking a long weekend for the 4th, and me finally driving over there.

Overall I could have picked it up just under 5 weeks from the time I ordered it.

I spoke to RRA today, and they are running 8-12 weeks on deliveries right now.

I've been waiting almost 3 months now for my Elite CAR A4. Kinda getting tired of it, honestly =/

I've been told by RRAMODERATOR here in the past they prioritize them in this order:

Complete Rifles
Complete Lower Halfs
Stripped Lowers

That being said it took 20 weeks to get a complete lower for myself from my dealer. Best bet is to find one in stock if you want it now.

My RRA came from a local shop when I was stationed in Arizona.  I didn't have to wait for it.  However, owning an RRA rifle I can tell you that it will be worth the wait when you get it.

I have been waiting for 11 weeks as of today, and I was just told that it will probably still be a few more weeks. I have 2 other RRA's and they are good rifles, I just wish the wait wasn't quite as long as it is.

I was told 4-6 weeks on my stripped lower.  It took 6 months.

Buy from a dealer that has what you want IN STOCK.

I ordered an Elite CAR upper w/Weaver gas block through Pete @ Legal Transfers. It was shipped direct from RRA about 8 weeks later.

I ordered a 10.5 A4 pistol upper in March, quoted 4-8 weeks. 18 weeks in and not a word. Rock River makes great rifles but their current manufacturing capabilities are far outweighed by demand. This is the last order I will make from them untill they are able to increase production.

You can't fault them for that.

Try RBPrecision as they're an RRA dealer here in IL and they usually have RRA stuff in stock.  Also they're a supporting vendor of this site.

This is my first post to this site but I have been lurking in the shadows for quite awhile.  After reading many opinions on various manufacturers I ordered a Rock River from a great local dealer in mid June.  When he placed my order he was told six to eight weeks but I was pleasently surprised when I got a call from him first week of July that my rifle was in.  Less than three weeks-great.  I don't know if it matters, but I ordered a cataloged item and not a special order, just a normal flat top CAR.

Wow, I ordered an RRA midlength 16 in A2 right at the end of june. I was quoted 5 weeks, and I couldnt believe it would be that long. From the sound of it, ill be very lucky if it is that quick. Guess thats what you get when stuff is quality and priced well.

Its killin me tho, cause the upper is the last thing i need to complete my first build. I have a finished lower i have been sitting here looking at, just wishing my upper would come! Im really hoping i have it before I go back to school in the fall, cause that seriously limits my range time. Anyhoo, thanks for posting this topic. I was curious about the waiting time myself!

Called RRA today (13 jul 07) and they said 5 to 6 months back log. They said that they are being held up by the company that does there anodizing.
they said that it is impossible for them to find out how much longer my complete pistol lower and carbine lower to be finished. I told him they were ordered the first week in april and he said add 5 to 6 months. I told him that i wanted to cancel the order. He said that my FFL would have to call and maybe, just maybe they might be able to locate the order though his FFL #, but it would be doubtful. My FFL was never given any kind of order # when the order was placed. RRA has a fine product, but i think a simple number added would help. But i am not a manufacturer......and...i am not an owner of an RRA product (the guy got kind of hostile with me). Oh well...

This has not been a flame. It is just a statement saying that this guy is not gonna wait 6 months. And after the order i found out that through this forum i could get them a helluva lot quicker. But since someones demeanor got a bit nasty  RRA can stuff it CMMG here i come (less than 10 day wait) 1 day shipping available
