| I called my gun dealer and he said it will take 12-16 weeks to get a stripped lower. Is this normal, and is there any way to get one quicker? Thanks! |
| You need to find an FFL that will do a transfer (most gun shops will). Go to www.quanticoarms.com and look up the FFL's that they have filed the paperwork on. If there is one close to you, contact them and see if they will do the transfer. Then order from Quantico and have it sent to the FFL address that they have on file. You will have it in less than a week. If they don't have the paperwork of a nearby FFL, have your local FFL send the paperwork to them. Once Quantico receives it, they'll send the receiver out to the FFL. That will all take 10 days at the most. |

I ordered a CMT forged lower from Numrich Gun Parts on Monday and picked it up from my FFL on Friday. It is an excellent receiver made by Continental Machine Tool, which also makes receivers for Colt. The price is good also at $99.99 a pop. The finish matches up well with the J&T kit I assembled to it. Panzer Out |

I also normally order a "small" item like this locally! With that said, I made a MISTAKE the other week and ordered a Bushmaster Stripped lower without asking for a confirmation of the cost before I ordered it! It ended up costing me $190 for a stripped lower! Perhaps this is the going rate for Bushmaster lowers but I would have rather had TWO Eagle Arms lowers for about the same money!
