How many mags do you have for your AR?  If you have more than 1 AR, how many mags do you have for each one?

I currently have 3 for my AR.

I have over 100 magazines... some 30's, some 20's, some Colts, some other brands. Some stay loaded and some stay in reserve. I dont have specific mags for specific rifles besides for my precision shooting rig.

For all or most of the guys here your poll choices are WAY too low!

Myself I have 4 AR's, but only two are 5.56 & I have around 50 30rd & 20 20rd mags.

A good rule of thumb for Rifle/Magazine ratio is  20 per rifle

For Handgun/Magazine ratio is 10 per per handgun

Not that I do it, but I think 10-5 to be used for practice and 5 to be set aside after a function check for "ohmigodthelooters arecoming" is a good rule of thumb.

edit I think MarkM only had 2 or 4 magazines for his AR for years, or maybe he was kidding.

Personally I have no idea how many AR mags I have, I would guess 30 between 20s and 30s.

So far I have well over 100 USGI mags for my ARs,but I need a lot more. I have 7 ARs to feed plus 6 lowers to be built.

Well, I take care to feed my AR15’s in the right way.

I have something like 300x 30 round mags

Something like 80x 20 round mags

6x 40 rounds and

maybe 10x 10 rounds

And 3x 100 round Beta mags

I just received 6x 30 round H&K mags and soon I will get some 20 round H&K mags.

You know, right here in Europe we like to have a lot of firepower.

My rule of thumb [insert your quote from Boondock Saints here] is 10 mags plus 4 for each additional AR.  Four is a minimum for pistols, six to ten is preferred.

If you are taking a 5 day class with a 3000rnd count its easier to just so up with enough preloaded mags.  that way when everyone else is rubbing their thumbs raw topping off mags between strings you can hydrate, grab a snack or network.

I have 12 mags for my rifle. I just purchased the rifle a few months ago. I'm sure 30-40 mags would be about right.  I already like to keep them scattered around the house. 2 loaded in the safe next the the AR. A couple in the range bag just in case I drive 45min and forget to bring my loaded mags. Don't laugh I've done it before.  And I already need some more for my BOB.  

Besides, who knows when the Anti's are going to restrict all us evil people to 10 shot mags again.  I say get em' while you can.

For my single Colt AR I have 8x30rds and 2x20rds mags.  I rather spend the extra money on ammo.  I have like  10,000+ rds of XM193.    

For SHTF I can reload my mags. All you mag-hungry freaks out there won't get much effect throwing your empty mags at the "horde of angry zombies" once your ammo stash runs out.  hat   Come-on,  you know you want to!

I've 21 30 rounders. 10 D&H's, 10 CProducts aluminum, 1 SS CProducts (very nice). Would like to get more but just not practical for me. I don't have money falling out my ass.h.gif
