How many rounds through a .223 target barrel before it's broken in? |
| If you search this subject on this site, you will find many very opposite and very warm (hot?) opinions on this subject. Personally, I will carefully clean a new barrel to remove any grit or machining particles from the manufacture of the barrel. Next, I'll put one round through the tube to blow out any burrs (like at the gas port), clean the barrel, and then use it. |
