I recently posted about how I got a barrel that had a hole drilled into the bore from a botched FH install.  I was wondering if I actually needed to reduce the overall length of the barrel or whether the 1/4" of thread could be cut off and just use the remaining amount of thread to put the FH on.  Is this plausible?

Not an expert here, but if it is only 1/4" off the front I don't see why it wouldn't work cranked onto a cruch washer.  You might need a peel washer though, not sure.

not sure if the hole is really going to hurt anything. People have been drilling holes into their barrels for a while ..ie think muzzle brakes. Im sure its not pretty but i cant see how its going to harm a blaster barrel that much?

its a pretty nice barrel apart from that stupid hole.  I guess it shoots fine but I cannot confirm this.  I just know I would feel better having the hole gone.
