Im getting into the whole building an AR-15 bit but i dont know jack about building, now when it comes to ordering everything the only thing that i need is an FFl form for the lower nothing else correct? everything else can be ordered plainly. Which brings me to my next step the tools, now the tools required for assembling a lower i don't have to buy because i read that you can improvise almost all of them and the ones i dont have i can just go to the gun store and have them put on the parts for me, and which brings me to my last and final question what the hell is an FFL form where do i get one, and how long does it take for everything to go through and for me to be able to order a lower receiver and start building, if im wrong on anything or everything let me know please, thank you.

Yes, you only need a FFL for the lower receiver.

You get the FFL form from your FFL licensee (aka gun shop)! Just go to your gunshop and tell them you need a copy of their FFL to send to the company your buying your lower from.

+1

build it yourself

FFL: basically, you call around for your local gun or pawn shops--anyone who might have an FFL licence; find out if they do "FFL/firearm transfers" and if they do get a price quote--i have heard prices from 10% the value of the gun to $5-$50 (personally, i would not pay more than $25); select one that does and who you have a good feeling about thier service
you go to the FFL, obtain a ink, signed xerox copy of THIER FFL and mail (or your FFL might require the address on who to mail it to) it to the person who is selling you the firearm ( you will pay for the firearm); when the seller gets the funds and FFL copy, he/she will send the firearm to your FFL who will do the neccessary background checks and transfer the firearm to you while charging you the fee

some also accept a legible faxed copy of FFLs--faster than snail mail; also, you can use the ATF's EZ FFL check to help verify an up-to date FFL

you will obtain the copy of their FFL (federal firearms license) they will give you this and sign it and then all you do is ship it to the company.

Or find a local dealer that sells lowers.  Try a gun show. Also get a copy of ‘The AR-15 Complete Assembly Guide’ by Walt Kuleck.   And wear safety glasses when installing the front pivot pin
