Another great product from the guys at MagPul!

Tools needed:

Drill
11/64" drill bit
15/64" drill bit
3/32" hex key

Step 1: Inspect the package and make sure everything is there.

Rubber buttpad
T-Nut
8-32x½ Button Head Cap Screw
8-32x5/8 Button Head Cap Screw x 2
Small washer
Large washer x 2

Everything here. Including a great two page instruction sheet with nice pictures!

Step 2: Install the buttpad with the two 8-32x5/8 screws in the bottom two holes already in the M93 stock

Step 3: Drill the top hole with an 11/64" drill bit. Make sure to drill parallel to the weapon's bore.

Well looky there! I almost got the hole dead center.

Step 4: Remove the buttpad and enlarge the hole you just drilled with a 15/64" bit.*

Install the T-nut from the inside:

* - If I were to do this again I would use a letter size "A" drill bit rather than the 15/64" bit. My drill bit chart shows the "A" bit as 0.0004" smaller in size. With the 15/64" bit the T-nut fits rather loosely. That extra little bit may be just enough so I didn't have to use scotch tape to hold the T-nut in place when I stood the stock up on end. However, if you don't have an "A" bit handy, don't sweat it.

The T-nut installed from the "other" side.

Reinstall the buttpad and screws. MagPul recommends the use of thread locker. It's a good idea.

Buttpad installed:

When you tighten the screws down do not let the top screw project beyond the T-nut on the inside. This is how it should look when you're done:

Finished!

Looks like I need to spend more time with the new camera.

Price is $19.95 plus shipping. It came FedEx.

Total time for the install would be about 10 minutes if I hadn't stopped everytime I did something to take a picture. It's very easy to do if you have the basic tools required and the knowlege to use them. Unlike a friend of mine who loves buying tools but I swear he could break an anvil with a rubber mallet.

Are these currently available?

Recent emails with a Magpul vendor who is also on this site indicated that these may be backordered items.

I don't know.

I bought mine at Christmas time, right after they were introduced.

I'd give MagPul a call and ask them.

I did call Magpul earlier today, suspecting some kind of problem in production or the supply chain.

I was happily surprised:

Magpul-
~"we've got hundreds of them in the warehouse”

After follow-up with the distributor I was hoping to order from-
~“I’ve got 50 coming in they should be here soon”

Awesome!

But while I had MagPul on the line I would have gone ahead and ordered one then.
