Mine is mounted on my VFG using electrical tape.  YMMV though.

Zip ties for me. Old school, cheap and a bit ugly. It works though.

I have the tapeswitch on mine mounted BHD-style. Electrical tape. :D  But then I'm running the standard skinny handguards. I had a rail...I like how the rifle handles better without it.

The LaRue Index clips work really well for retaining the switch pad. Here is a setup I ran for a little bit, but I determined I would rather have the push button.
