Thinking about buying M-44 forearm from first samco. Has anyone experienced problems with the plastic rails? General opinions? Thanks!!

This is the optics section... they are not suitable for optics.

If you are looking for an inexpensive forearm, go with YHM 2 piece for about $100. Awesome value.

Bought one about 2+1/2 years ago.

Still sits in the box.

If youre on a budget and can't get the YHM then ok. Fobus/First Samco are not meant for heavy use or a lot of accessories. Your choice. Like Teknic said, get the YHM, you'll be much happier.

Well if you are on a tight budget I guess it'd be a way to get a light on the forearm.

Unless weight is an overriding concern I'd get the YHM 2 piece unit. The Fobus is really only good for a light and/or VFG.
