I'm in the process of building a varmint rifle. I have a Spike's Tactical lower receiver and parts kit on order. Picked up an ACE skeleton stock, buffer tube, buffer and buffer spring and a RRA Varmint upper receiver with 20" stainless bull barrel and BCG. Can't wait to put it together. Now I'm thinking about the optics mount and scope to put on it. Will be used primarily for coyotes, hogs and other varmints. I'm thinking of a traditional hunting scope instead of a red dot. But a lighted reticle could come in handy. Any suggestions on mounts and scope? I'm thinking of paying $300 or so for the scope.
Will post pics once I get it all assembled. |

Take a look at the Burris Fulfield II Tactical scopes. A best buy IMO.

| I'm using a Bushnell Elite 4200 3x9 on my coyote rifle, so far I'm really pleased with it. Got it from Optic Zone can't remember the price but I'd sure do it again. It does have a fairly short eye relief but I like that on my AR, I wouldn't use it on my 300 Win Mag, that probably would result in mag eye. |

Bushnell 3200, 5-15x50
Weaver, 4-16x42 Classic V16 Both are quality scopes under $300 made in Japan. I'd also take a serious look at the Weaver Extreme scopes on sale at Natchez, some of which have illuminated reticles. http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=we800704&lsrc=NZ&src=BE344 http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=we800706&lsrc=NZ&src=BE344 |
