no expert, ,but i feel they are a cure for a prblem that does not exist.   a carbine, H, H2 or 9mm buffer will handle about any round a carbine will take

The Enidine is better at reducing cyclic rate in full autos and reducing recoil/muzzle rise than the 9mm buffer.

Is it a hydraulic system with an integral inner spring.  You just put it in place of your current buffer.  It is roughly H2 buffer in weight.

I put a carbine sized one in my RRA middy to 'quiet' the muzzle movement when shooting with a 12x scope at 300 yds.  Without it the muzzle would move enough when firing that I couldn't see hits on my steel target.  With it in, the muzzle stayed still enough to easily see my hits. For that purpose, I'd say that it was money well spent, even on a middy.
