I like carbines with fixed stocks. I solved the A2X or A2 w/spacer P&W dilemma with a SE Vortex. PSA M16A2 lower with a Hiperfire EDT trigger.
Good, solid SHTF rifle with a FSB flashlight mount, RDS and a GI top sling kit. Attached File Attached File |

It looks closest to 14.5 I think. |

My contribution. Absolutely love the slick, simple, light and fast handling little carbines. My OCD is still screaming at me about having a C7 upper instead of an A1. It's all I could find when I was putting the upper together. That brass deflector is just mocking me. Lol! The upper is one that JT replaced the front sight base/gas block. Like it just rolled out of the factory... |

That is one of the reasons I like this thread and try to keep up with it. I don't know of any people who have more experience with urban combat then the IDF. So I tend to copy their style of rifles for my home defense AR's. |

I've watched and Google everything I can on the Mepro m21 sight.
My question is which reticle? I'm looking for 50 yard zero with xm193 to be effective out to 250/300 yards. I like the bullseye. Could the top of outer circle be used for longer shots like the top of the triangle reticle. How is the reticle in using with CQB lights or shooting towards lights? With the washout remover what is the battery life? I'm between the m21 or an eotech but I don't care for the battery life. |

View Quote I like the triangle because you can zero it for long range using the tip of the triangle, and at CQB distances use the whole triangle like a red dot. I have never had to use the washout remover. In a room with light colored walls, an extremely bright iight will wash out the reticle. I recommend using a BUS for indoors after dark. |

If I were going to buy another it would be their 4.5 dot or the triangle. I would zero it at exactly 200 yards. I would use the tip of the triangle to establish my 200 yard zero, the 4.5 moa dot would be centered as usual. Bullet drop at 300 yards will be approximately 7.5 inches or 2.5 moa. The circle on the circle dot is too thick IMO and too close to the center dot. A larger 65 moa circle like EOTech's circle would work better. The brightness and size covers the target making it almost impossible to see much on a sunny day. I covered my light window with tape and it's still borderline too bright. Inside brightness is excellent, not too bright, not too weak, goldilocks bright. |

These types of rifles are my favorite. I prefer the KISS approach to things.
I may have posted these earlier in this thread but figured might as well not freeload. My two favorites and I’m collecting parts to build an A1. Attached File |

Well I ordered the Mepro M21B bullseye reticle and it seems awesome.
This thing is built like a tank compared to my delaminating Glass , broken mount screw eotech 512, and my aimpoint pro with factory mount. |

So I've had this idea for a build. Themed using the XM1771 as the inspiration. Regular conventional lower, USGI handguards, M4 waffle stock, C7 upper, and a 14.5" pinned and welded pencil barrel with the correct FSB. Trijicon makes an RMR mount for fixed handles, and either a bayonet or FSB mounted scout light.
Does anyone have something similar for inspirations? The only thing keeping me from starting is the lack of C7's until they become available again. |

It will tighten up a little if i squeeze them together. It has yet to cause any pinching or issues, so I just go with it. I should also mention that the handguard had been FDE and was rit dyed blk. The gap may be larger due to that, but I honestly can't remember as there was a gap from the get go. With bayonet mounted after my buddy pinned it for me |
