its good ammo its just overpriced right now. i wouldn't buy until its 340 a case Between Israel getting ready to fight the Iranians (and not sending the US customers anymore), the 2012 end of the world craze, and the upcoming re-election of the Onointed one, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that magical $340/case number. |

If you didn't get it last month before it went up, I don't think we will see that price again. I payed $380 due to my procrastinating ass. |

I bought one case at $320 (Vance, 2010), one case at $346 (Wideners, 2012), and one case at $379 (Wideners, 2012). So, dollar cost averaging gets me to $348 a case.

Ended up being $440 shipped to my house. About a month or so later, it dropped to $37X per case. I ordered another, but was pissed that I had just bought one for $420 a month earlier. This was fall of 2010 I believe. |

Cleanest burning 5.56 ammo I have found. Anybody using a can should at least try the IMI ammo. It's a shame more suppliers aren't stocking it. I put a thousand rounds through a new Adcor Bear Elite then took it apart for inspection. All I had to do was wipe the regulator and BCG off and re-assemble it. Very unlike the Lake City or Remington ammo, which left more debris than a ten year old Bar BQ grill behind. You can do your own simple test by removing the bullet from your favorite ammo and pour it onto a pan and igniting it. Compare the debri left behind to IMI ammo. I think you'll be impressed. I only use the 62gr SS109 ammo. The 55gr is just too light.

IMI is THE best production ammo available.
I am sad to see it drying up at Wideners. I've seen it come and go a couple of times over the years. It'll be back one day as long as there is no new law such as an import ban. It might be a few years, though. Hope not! |

When it's gone, it takes forever for it to come back. I stocked up from Widener's. This is/was the best deal going. |

Don't be a fool and spend more than $340 a case ammo. You do know the IMI is a 1200 round case? I have been shopping and its the cheapest 855 per round I can find. I bought 2 cases of the 193 back in the winter. Just kicking myself for not getting the 855 before it went up $40. |

I know ammo tests were done, is it more accurate than American Eagle M55? I had XTAC 855 and American Eagle, I found AE was better than XTAC, I was hoping IMI would be more consistent..... Check the testing done by Molon in the sticky above. IMI M855 tested as the most accurate of all military 223/5.56 ammo. Second was Winchester Ranger M855 (cost more) Third was IMI M193 (Making this IMI the #one 55gr) Those are the tree best you can get and the IMI was also cheaper to boot. This Israel ammo was "Such a deal"!! Wulfmann |

I didn't see the "sticky above" so for your reading pleasure I'm posting a link below.
There simply isn't a mo betta M855 mil spec ammo made...period. At least not yet. IMI's M193 takes the prize in 55 grain pills as well. Read this: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_16/519740_Attack_of_the__M193__Clones__Part_Two___M855_Comparison_.html |

If the Israelis get into a serious war with Iran and/or several of it's neighbors at once, they'll probably discover that ammo evaporates like dew in the morning sun, and that maybe they shouldn't have sold all their surplus production to others. You can never have too much ammo when you have several honked off neighboring countries invading your ass. As for #2, I hope you are right. Sure, I'm going to vote for anyone but the Onnointed one, but the choices offered me suck, every one. Even if O is not re-elected, we're still in a bad way. |

Do as you want but the media spins everything the O way and the powers that be want him in so if you are not buying ammo because you think Romney will win you might live to regret that choice.
If a war breaks out I am sure Israel is well stocked but the effect on us will be future shipments. They sell off excess when they are not shooting a bunch and a big war will mean a lot shot therefor a lot required to resupply and rebuild inventories hence less likely any more IMI any time soon.. All this is conjecture but, IMO, buy like the O will be here for another 4 or worse buy like Romney will be here for the same 4. This election reminds me of Poland in 1939 trying to figure what would be worse. Occupation by Hitler or Stalin. Lose or lose that is what we face. Remember when governor of Massachusetts Romney persuaded the legislators to only ban assault weapons indefinitely not permanently. He can do the same for the whole country. How does that make you feel???? Think about it and if that does not make you stock up well I hope your long shot pays off but I think there is a better chance of winning the Powerball in a state that does not even have it!! IMI ammo: WWJU??? Wulfmann |
