| I just bought a bunch of IR laser modules and I'm wondering what the best way to test them is, without night vision? My cell phone camera will pick up IR at close range, but will nightmode on a camcorder pick it up? |

Whatever you do do not look into the laser module to see if there is a little red glow. Yeah, I have done it but my mother dropped me on my head when I was a kid I know a cam corder like a Sony handy cam can pick up on the IR emission. Now the most important question is what did you pick up ? Are they just IR diodes or like PEQ15's or 15A's Since I am the first responder remember to PM me first if there is anything good and cheap that you want to part with |

when you say a bunch of modules.....what do you mean? I ordered a few 7mW focusable modules, and a few 3mW focusable modules. A laser module is the actualy laser that goes inside a housing. Alright a old super VHS camcorder on nightmode did the trick. I needed something capable of seeing it further then 3 feet to make sure they focused into a tight dot. |
