I am ready to buy my first ar15 but don't know anything about all the different manufacturers.
This is what I am considering:

Spikes Tactical SLP-15 stripped lower

and a Del-Ton 16" light weight rifle kit.

would this make a good dependable rifle?

I personally think that is a great way to go if everything is in stock.  This is a rough time to be getting into this game but go for it!  Find some ammo and mags and buy a bunch.

I'd dole out the extra $$ for the Chrome Lining.  Who knows if you really need it but, if you forget to clean the barrel or are lazy like a lot of folks, it's worth the $45!

Spike's Tactical is probably the best place I have ever dealt with and you will read A LOT of posts saying so.  Great folks, great products, great service and great prices.  You will not be disappointed!

So, to sum this up in a word.... YES!

Now go forth and build(don't forget to post pics when complete)!!!!

Great choices, just have to wait a while for supplies to catch up to the demand.
