My friend who was an army ranger told me about a sling (I believe it would have to be a 3 point of some sort) where when you let the rifle fall it hangs perfectly paralell with your side and you can quickly pull the rifle up to shooting position without adjusting it. Any idea which he is talking about? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. |

Ask your friend where he got the sling. Not much to go on from your description, except yes, it does sound like it would've been a 3-point type. Or he may have been talking about that Wolf Hook thing that's marketed by Spec-Ops. It runs through the rear sling mount of an M4 type stock and attaches to the shoulder area portion of an RBA, IBA, FLC, or any other type of load bearing vest. www.specopsbrand.com/assets/product_html/prod_wolfhook.html |

The way he described it, the rifle would hang completly paralell with the right side of his body when he let go of the rifle, barrel facing the floor. He said you can run, walk etc. and it will not get in the way. Since it is on the right side, no it would not hit him in the nuts. From the side without adjustment you can pull the rifle to shooting postition easily. The next time I see will not be for a few months, he is in another state. |
