SP1 Carbine.

$900-$1200 on Gunbroker.

Next!

How much it is worth depends on how used it is and if it has the original box and paperwork.

It can be worth anywhere between $0 to $1600

It's about 90%.

Just the rifle with a Colt 20 rounder.

Oooooooh, a SP1 carbine.

Fun little guns; lightweight, effective, simple.

I don't shoot mine as much as I would like since the brass sometimes hits me in the face (lefty shooter).

So, should I get it from him and shoot the crap out of it?  Or, should I get it and sit on it?

I wouldn't pay more than $1100

It's a 921xx SN carbine.  So it's a shooter, not a collector's grade?

90% is pretty used.

It would be a shooter.

I thought it would be older than 1978.  It's not as appealing to me now.  However, I can get it for 800.  But, I can build a similar rifle for <600

I'm going to go pick the rifle up today.  My better judgement got the hold of me and I cannot let something like this slip out from under my grasp.  $800 for a Colt 6001 that has barely been shot?  Plus, I've wanted one ever since I first gazed upon an AR-15.

I mean, c'mon...what would Lumpy do?

If it has "barely been shot" then I would say it is better than 90%.  If he is selling it for $800 I would buy it.

The receiver is stamped 223 Remington.  This a 1/12 rifle according to the carbine parts guide thread? C MP B on the barrel itself.
