Take a pic of the adjustment screws without the covers and battery compartment maybe? The copies I've seen looked different there.

Check the front lens glass. Genuine M2/M3s, If you tilt it at certain angles, you should be able to see the front glass coating colors change from red to orange to green; knock offs will not do this, as its a special lens coating by aimpoint, IIRC it has to do with using the optic with night vision

There is a red color on the lens....also found a very faded sn.thanks for the help
