Besides the B MP barrel markings, are there any other markings that would identify a bushmaster upper?

I don't think so, just check that the upper receiver has a forge marking.

I'd also check to see it's T-Marked and has M4 feed ramps.

Oh, and most bushmaster uppers came with carbine style handguards, not M4 style.

What do you mean by T-marked? And I also heard that some Bushmaster uppers are marked with an L or Y on the rear takedown lug of the upper? Can anyone confirm this?

You heard wrong..  They may have gotten a batch of such uppers once, but it's no regular thing.

And if you don't know what T marks are, you're not looking at a Bushie upper.  Also, the note above  mentioning  feed ramps is only correct for Bushies built inb the last few months. I don't know when Bushie went to the M4 type ramps; but it wasn't over 6 or 7 montyhs ago.  And I'm not sure they're putting them on any but their M4 clones.

the two Bushy uppers next to me at the very moment are 3+ years old. they are from a time when you could call and order whatever rifle you wanted and only wait a week or two. times have changed and parts are hard to get. there is almost no real way to tell if it is or is not a Bushy.

just look at the differences in the two i have at the moment..........

neither is T-marked, one has M4 ramps, the other has a Y on the *lug*, both are cerro forged and the finish is top shelf.

i have, on my desk, a YHM upper receiver that is T-marked, has M4 ramps (very shallow), no mark on the lug, cerro forged and has an excellent finish.

times are tough, take what you can get..........

Well my Bushmaster was made in 2004, so that would explain it not being T-marked and not having M4 feed ramps.

These are RAS markings (T numbers):

The keyhole forge mark mentioned above is from Cerro Forge. Cerro supplies raw forgings to many manufacturers-including Bushmaster, Colt, RRA and scads of others. For this reason the keyhole cannot be used to accurately identify a specific brand.

Here is a factory Colt upper with keyhole forge mark:
