Ok, so shot the Frankenbuild last night and was happy with the way it shot, except I think I'm having slight gas issues.
Now, it shot okay, I used cheap federal and cheaper Wolf brass. At first, using the Wolf, I was having issues with the bolt not locking back after the last round. After the first magazine, it seemed to be OK. I think it was a combination of the cheap WOLF ammo and an even cheaper magazine it was in.
Now, I didn't notice anything at first. I was shooting with a big grin on my face. Dialed in the optic and shot about 150 .223 through it.
It wasn't until I reviewed a video I tried getting that had an awful angle that I noticed a bit more smoke than normal shooting out of it. Not a lot, maybe just burning oil? Also, not pictured is some fouling on the gas tube right before the GB. I'm hoping some build up with eventually seal this. The GB pictured is to show you how the gas tube hole is just a tad farther in to the GB hole than I'd like, but I don't seem to concerned. Is this normal? Would this cause the blow back? I feel like the GB is lined up properly on the barrel. (I did the blow method also marked & measured it and lined it up the best I could.
Just looking for comments, I attached some pictures of the smoke I'm talking about, but they might be hard to decipher.
Thanks for any help.

As long as the gun cycles correctly and locks back on the last round the tube in GB should be OK.In my experience carbon fouling will build up around the tube and seal itself with use.A good excuse to go shoot it more .
